Parable of the Blind, is a curated suite of drawings, primarily on paper, that narrate a sequenced reflection on the painting ‘The Blind Leading the Blind’, 1568, (Museo di Capodimonte, Naples, Italy) by Pieter Bruegel the Elder, and a short novella re-imagining that painting by German writer Gert Hofman, ‘Parable of the Blind’, 1985. It includes a range of copied drawings, architectural studies, maps, texts, dream images and memories that trace out a dialogical experience. The drawings were installed in a side room to an exhibition ‘Paintings’ and another series of portrait drawings with closed eyes.
